Obituary - Sherry May Huffine

Huffine, Sherry May, of Henrico, formerly Oak Ridge Tennessee, gained her Angel wings on Sunday, November 19, 2023 after a brief battle with lung cancer. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Winston Ashworth, brother, Charles Winston Ashworth II, and her grand cat, Punk. She is survived by her mother, Joan Cowan; daughter, Macha (Ronnie); son, Mark Jr.; sister, Lesa (Jeff); sister in-law, Cathy (Wilson); life partner, Mark Walton Sr.; step children, Mark Jr., Emma, Craig (Stephanie), and Rachel (Travis); step grandchildren, Gavin, Preston, Nolan, Raelynn, and Aria; niece, Leslie; nephews, Chad and Brandon; and her beloved fur babies, Ladybird and Trixie; granddog, Dutch; grandcat, Little Bit; several cousins; and her best friend, Linda Daniel. Sherry worked and played hard, but her greatest achievement was raising her children. She loved life, her indoor plants, flowers, music, and visiting her mother. She was bubbly, warm, friendly, caring, had a wicked sense of humor, and never knew a stranger. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7pm on Friday, December 1st, with a memorial service beginning at 7pm, at Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W. Broad St. Glen Allen, VA 23060. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, or to an animal shelter of your choice.
