Peachy was born in Capron, VA to Harry Lee and Susie Grant Bain. She graduated from St. Mary’s School in Raleigh, NC and from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College in Lynchburg, VA. She was an active member of Reveille United Methodist Church, teaching Sunday School to preschoolers, participating in the Mary Lou White Circle, and serving as a Stephen Minister. She was a Master Gardener in Henrico County.

Peachy’s loves included her family, her faith, antique furniture, working in her yard, making her famous Peachy’s bread and sharing it with others, watching college basketball, traveling with friends, knitting and playing bridge.

Peachy was blessed to be cared for by the staff at Cedarfield and by Grace Uffer, Enicsa Scroggins, Holly Archard, and Nichole Britt and her team at Heartland Hospice. We are so grateful for their presence in all our lives.
