Ruth Ann Ferguson-Ferrari, 71, of Henrico County, cherished mother, wife, and devoted friend, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Ollie Mary Ferguson; as well as her beloved husband, Lawrence “Larry” Ferrari, with whom she shared over 20 years of marriage.

Ruth graduated from Randolph Henry High School in Charlotte Court House, Virginia, and went on to earn a degree from Phillips Business College in Lynchburg, VA. She dedicated 43 years to Henrico County Public Schools as a Nutritional Assistant before retiring.

A lifelong Christian, Ruth accepted Christ at a young age and was an active member of Saint Paul’s Baptist Church in Henrico County. She deeply enjoyed serving in the Refiners ministry, a dedicated group for seniors aged 70 and older, as well as participating in Bible study and other activities for the elders. Ruth had many passions: singing, dancing, reading her daily devotionals, shopping, and a love for fashionable clothing. Above all, she had a deep affection for her family and close friends.

She is survived by her devoted son, Willie E. Hester, Jr.; her cherished dog, "Buddy"; her brother, Thomas H. Ferguson; her sister, Mary “Nell” Epperson (Louis); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and two close friends, Catherine B. Jefferson and Kimberly Bryant.
