Rozalia Elkina, 87, of Henrico, peacefully passed away Saturday, February 10, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mikhail Blitshteyn, with whom she shared 61 years, as well as her parents, Boris and Maria Elkin.

Rozalia is survived by her children, Mark (Adriana), and Inna (Boris); along with five grandchildren, Maria (Eugene), Jane (Andrew), Michael, Benjamin, and Boris. Her legacy also includes five great-grandchildren, Katia, Hannah, Emily, Evan, and Elena; and her sister, Simona; and nephew, Anton (Olga).

Rozalia dedicated her entire life to her family, expressing her love through unwavering care and support. She had a successful 44-year career as a Chemical Engineer, retiring from the same place of employment while continuing to play an active role in her grandchildren’s lives.

The family expresses sincere gratitude to Kirva Hospice (Valerie, Kimberly, Shanna, Tiana, Sheila, Margaret, Rabbi Randi) for their exceptional care and ensuring Rozalia’s comfort during her final weeks.

A viewing will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Friday, February 16, 2024 at Affinity Funeral Service, 2720 Enterprise Pkwy, Richmond, VA 23294. A graveside service will follow at 10:00 am in Westhampton Memorial Park, 10000 Patterson Ave, Richmond, VA 23238.
