Obituary - Ross Louis Girardi

Ross Louis Girardi, 82, of Henrico, passed away on November 3, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pauline and Peter Girardi. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Rae; his children, Ross Louis Jr., Michael (Cheryl), Andrea (Larry), Peter (Ingrid) and Jack (Kris); grandchildren, Garrett, Maggie (Richard), Joe, Quinn, Ellie (Logan), Mia, Isabella, Krysalan, Annika and Harmony; great-grandchild, August; and brother, John (Jan). Ross was born in Williamson, W.Va., April 4, 1940. He graduated from Williamson High School and attended University of Richmond. He was a proud member of the United States Army as a combat medic. Ross was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, member of the Giuseppe Verdi Lodge #315, and he volunteered for 40-plus years at the Little Sisters of the Poor. He was greatly cared for by everyone who works at August Healthcare of Richmond, where he was affectionately known as “Ross the Boss," and for the gentle support of Affinity Hospice Care. The family will receive friends at Bliley’s – Central, 3801 Augusta Ave., Richmond, Va. 23230, on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, from 4 to 6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 300 N. Sheppard Street, Richmond, Va. 23221, on Wednesday, November 16 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens, 12609 Patterson Ave., Richmond, Va. 23238.
