Ronald William Buzzeo, 84, of Henrico, Virginia passed away peacefully on March 27 surrounded by his family. Ron was born in New York and is survived by his beloved wife, Judith Ann Buzzeo of 62 years. He leaves three sons; Christopher “Chris” Buzzeo (Mary), Scott Buzzeo (Barbara), William “Bill” Buzzeo (Tracy), seven grandchildren; Amanda Buzzeo (Cris Donlon), Connor Buzzeo (Lindsey), Caitlin Smith (Will), Kylie Cumbea (Rawlings), Rachel Buzzeo (fiancé Jake Fulkerson), Julie Buzzeo and Curtis Buzzeo. Ron is also survived by five great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.

Ron attended St. John’s College of Pharmacy in New York, where he practiced pharmacy before entering state and federal service. His last position in federal service was Deputy Director, Drug Enforcement Administration. He also served as president and treasurer of an international organization, representing the United States at several international and UN sponsored forums. After over 20 years of government service he established his own consulting company, being a mentor and providing opportunities to many. Upon retiring Ron and Judy moved to North Carolina where he was elected as County Commissioner. Ron later relocated to the Richmond, Virginia area to be closer to family.

As some have said - Ron was kind, hard-working and fearless – but most of all he loved people. He didn’t care about race, creed, or politics, he just wanted to make life better for everyone.

Ron’s life will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 9505 Gayton Road, Henrico, VA 23229 on Tuesday April 15. A Visitation will be held at the Church at 10:30am followed by Mass at 11:30am. A reception will follow immediately at the home of family (address given at the Church)
