Ronald Miller Kelson, 89, of Sandston, passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2021.

He served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War and was a charter member, member for life and past president of the American Legion Posts # 242 and 144. He was a retired employee of Thalhimers after 33 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and four sisters and is survived by his devoted companion, Annabelle Baker; daughters, Debra Kelson Gay (Fred) and Donna Kelson Bordner (Robbie); step-son, Lawrence Samuel Orange; grandchildren, Freddie Gay (Jennifer), Mandy Amos (Junior), Cory Gay (Tonya), Robbie Bordner, Jr., James Crawley (Stephanie), Britnee Crawley and Brandon Crawley; step-grandchild, Brandon Orange (Katelin); and 13 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday, July 15, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231 where services will immediately follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will be in Washington Memorial Park.
