HARLER, Roger Woodman “Bucky” Jr., born January 5, 1943, passed away, Tuesday, May 23, 2023.
He is heading home to be with his Savior Jesus Christ and his best friend and wife of over 51 years, Kathleen “Kat” Harler.
He is survived by his three sons, Jeff Harler and daughter-in-law, Pam of Florida, Gary Harler and daughter-in-law, Teri of Henrico and Mark Harler and daughter-in-law, Julia of Florida; his nephew, Roland Fielders and his wife, Debbie of Richmond, who was like a son to him; he is also survived by many sisters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all who he loved very much!
He spent most of his life on Oregon Hill raising his children with the love of his life! He later moved to Henrico County, where he enjoyed gardening, raising chickens and raising his rooster that he named Kat.
Our hearts are saddened by the loss of this gentle man, but our hearts are also filled with joy that he is with his best friend once again. We love you poppa!
A visitation will be held 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 26 at Bliley’s - Central Chapel, 3801 Augusta Ave., Richmond, Va. 23230, where a service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, May 27. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
