Robert Shannon Lawson, 60, of Henrico County, Virginia, passed away May 2023 in Henrico County, Virginia.
The family will have a memorial service on Saturday, May 20th, 2023, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Bliley’s Funeral Home located at 8510 Staples Mill Road, Richmond, Virginia 23228. In keeping with true Shannon fashion, the family is asking those attending Saturday’s memorial service to wear tie dye shirts.
Burial will take place at Quantico National Cemetery at a date and time to be determined.
He was a United States Navy veteran, served in Desert Storm and received many honorable medals.
Shannon, as he was affectionately called, is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Lawson and mother, Peggy Lawson.
Shannon is survived by his wife, Susan Lawson; son Tony/Ashley Orpiano, daughter Megan/Christopher Duck; daughter Michelle/Brad Jones; son Brandon Orpiano; sister Tami/Doug Adams; niece Grace/Andrew Schappacher; nephew Christopher Adams and fourteen grandchildren.
