Obituary - Rita Jean Berry

Rita Jean Berry, 83, of Glen Allen, passed away after an extended illness on Friday, April 14, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis L. Berry; mother, Mildred Phipps; brother, Rod Harte; and sisters, Margaret Helms and Shirley Snow. She is survived by her daughters, Cindy Garris and Lisa Baber (Wayne); grandsons, Ryan Atkins (Margaret) and Brandon Atkins (Jeanie); great-grandchildren, Harrison, Bennett and Loretta Atkins. Mrs. Berry retired from the General District Court of Henrico. She enjoyed working around her house and gardening. A graveside ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Mount Vernon Memorial Park.
