Anderson, Ramona Beck passed away on Monday, August 21, 2023 at the age of 94.
She was born on June 28, 1929 in Henrico County.
Ramona was preceded in death by her parents, Glenice and Claude W. Beck, Sr.; her husband, Melvin Edward Anderson; and son, Wayne Bruce Anderson.
She is survived by her sons, Bill (Joanne) and Mickey (Debbie); and daughter, Karen (Richard Sharp); seven grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.
Ramona graduated from Highland Springs High School in 1946 and attended Madison College. She retired from Henrico County General Government after 23 years of service. She was an Administrative Secretary to the Director of Personnel. After retirement, she devoted a lot of time researching and compiling her family history. She enjoyed playing bridge, reading, working in her flower beds and crossword puzzles.
The family will receive friends Monday, August 28, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231 where a memorial service will immediately follow at 2 p.m.
