Obituary - Ralph Wrenn Johnson Jr.

Ralph Wrenn Johnson, Jr., 64, of Sandston, VA, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024.

He was an electrician with MKS Service Plus. Ralph loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Calvary Chapel Mechanicsville. He attended Princess Anne High School in Virginia Beach. He enjoyed cooking, playing computer games, surf fishing, ushering at church, watching favorite TV shows, and eating at fine restaurants.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rachel Yvonne Johnson; father, Ralph Wrenn Johnson, Sr.; and mother, Lila Suzanne Johnson (Warren).

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Michele Johnson (Simmons); brothers, Rusty Johnson and Scott Johnson, nieces, Renauda Bennett, Megan Felton, Isabella Marian, and Lindsay Elam; great-nieces, Ty’Onnah Felton, TaMyah Felton, Tayah Felton, Brooklyn Berry, Abigail Johnson, and Elahni Bennett; nephews, Ahmad Bennett, Darrnell Felton, and Christopher Johnson; great-nephews, Brent Felton, Ahmad Bennett, Jr., and Owen Johnson; brothers-in-law, Stephon Bethune, Brent Simmons, and Dorian Simmons; sisters-in-law, Daphne Bethune and Darlene Johnson; and mother-in-law, Ethel Simmons.

The family will receive friends Friday, July 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, July 6, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231, where a funeral service will be held Saturday, July 6, at 11 a.m.

Interment will follow in Dinwiddie Memorial Park.
