Obituary - Pamela B. Barker

Pamela B. Barker, 66, of Sandston, entered eternal rest on Friday, July 14, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alma H. and Walter Scott Bowman.

Pam retired from Dixie Sporting Goods and worked for several years at the Federal Reserve, PPFA, and Martinair. She enjoyed spending time at the beach and bowling with her mother. Pam had a big personality and loved to go shopping and spend time with her friends. She had a soft spot for all animals, especially cats and dogs.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 31 years, William N. “Bill” Barker; fur-babies, Precious, Punkin; brother, Chris Bowman (Stacy); nieces, Leah, Savannah; uncle, Harry Bowman (Judy); and aunts, Nancy Sawyers, Esther Carr, Connie McGuire, Patsy Bowman.

A celebration of Pam’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231, with Rev. Harry Bowman officiating. Casual attire is requested.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Richmond SPCA.
