Oliver Burns Wood, Jr., 93, of Henrico, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2022.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Barger Crawford Wood and his second wife, Katherine Wood. Oliver served honorably and retired from the Virginia Air National Guard. He was a devoted member of Four Mile Creek Baptist Church and he enjoyed fishing, watching birds and spending time with his family.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Mark Stephen (Susan), Charles Michael “Mike” (Sally) and David Alan; grandchildren, Danielle, Adam, April and Sean; great-grandchildren, Josiah, Audrianna, Constintino, Brayden, Annabelle, Maddalyn, Maddox, Claudia, Carson and Nora.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 22, 2022 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. at Four Mile Creek Baptist Church, 2950 New Market Rd., Richmond, Va. 23231. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park.
