Obituary - Nettie Yvonne Doyle Flippen

Nettie Yvonne Doyle Flippen, age 85, of Glen Allen, Virginia gained her heavenly wings on Friday, June 10, 2022. Nettie was born October 5, 1936 in Craigsville, Virginia.
She enjoyed arts and crafts, knitting, crocheting and being out in the yard and garden. One of her favorite things in life was spending time with her three grand sons and coming to cheer them on at one of their sporting events.
She was a long time member and loved being heavily involved at her church, Deep Run Baptist.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, William Flippen; son; William Kevin Flippen (Angel); and three precious grandchildren, Brody, Briggs and Beau.
Nettie was preceeded in death by her parents; Lelia Blanche Sprouse and Emmett Gardner Doyle. Sr.; sisters; Inez Doyle Smiley and Mae Doyle Tibbs, brothers; Emmett Gardner Doyle, Jr., Rodney Glenn Doyle and Harold (Boots) Glenn Doyle; two daughters, Theresa Gail Flippen and Denise Yvonne Flippen.
A visitation for Nettie will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woody Funeral Home-Parham, 1771 North Parham Road, Richmond, VA 23229. A graveside service will occur Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 4000 Pilots Lane, Richmond, VA 23222.
