Nancy Jane Moore, 82, of Henrico, Virginia, formerly Chillicothe, Ohio and Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022 in Richmond, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Barbara and Max Hart; and sister, Sandy James. Nancy was a devoted wife and mother, survived by her husband, Joseph F. Moore; son, Christopher C. Moore; sisters, Diana Roembke, Mary Fanger, Maxine Miller and Denise Kennedy. She was known as “My Little Redheaded Girl” to her husband and as “Grammie” to Annabelle, Savannah, Noah, Caroline and Olivia.

After graduating from Central Catholic High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana she attended Purdue University and Ohio University. During her career she volunteered for March of Dimes, Easter Seals and American Heart Association. She was an X-ray Technician, legal secretary, and teacher. Moving to Richmond, Virginia in 1987, became a member of Saint Bridget’s Catholic Church and later St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Her activities included book and bridge clubs, bird watching, travel, bike riding, tennis and golf at the Hermitage Country Club and walking the beach on Hilton Head Island, S.C.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, October 18 at 11 a.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 9505 Gayton Road. Donations can be made to the American Heart Association in her honor.
