Obituary - Miriam Garrett White Moran Pendleton

Miriam Garrett White Moran Pendleton, age 95, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022.

Miriam was born and raised in Amelia County and lived her adult life in Varina. She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Moran, and son, W. Calvin Moran Jr., and later husband, W.W. Pendleton. Also preceded by her brothers, Donald White and William White. Miriam is survived by her daughters, Rev. Frances Moran Grogan (Bill Grogan) and Loys Moran McLaughlin (John McLaughlin) and her granddaughters, Miriam Grace Thomas, Anna Marie Scott, Elizabeth Marie Grogan and Shawn-Marie McLaughlin-Kurr, and her great grandchildren, Blake Manning Thomas, Boston Marie Thomas and Ava Kurr. Miriam is also survived by her sisters Jane White Timma and Peggy White Whitten.

Miriam was a dedicated member and served in a variety of lay leader positions for St. James and Laurel Hill United Methodist churches. She also served as an active member for over 35 years with the Richmond African Violet Society. Many years of her life were spent raising dogs and her violets. Miriam loved her children, her grandchildren, and great grands with all of her heart.

She was adored and well loved by her family. Gatherings and family reunions near and far brought her great joy and she held those events close to her heart. Her family members were precious to her. Miriam will always be held in high esteem and deep love by her family.
