Obituary - Mildred N. Bickley Ashworth

ASHWORTH, Mildred N. “Snookie” Bickley, 80, of Henrico, left us peacefully on May 18, 2024. She is now with the love of her life, Douglas W. Ashworth, Sr. and is survived by her children, Doug, Jr. (Stacey), Don (Patti), Robin, Jeff (Kaye); grandchildren, Kellie, Chris, Sarah, Scott, CJ, Morgan, Zach, Gunner; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Harriette Farrish; nephews, Billy, Harry, Daniel and an amazing niece, Nancy (Stan); brother- in-law, Wayne Wells (Barbara); and a life-long friend, Kent McLaughlin.

Snookie/Millie dedicated her life to caring for her family, her children, grandchildren and doting over “Pop”, who she spent 61 years loving. Together they built a life filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories. Her spirit, kindness and love touched everyone who knew her, and she leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire and guide us. Snookie enjoyed watching home shopping channels and often sharing her finds with those she loved. Her presence in our lives was a gift that can never be returned.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation at Bliley's-Staples Mill on Wednesday, May 22, from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. and a graveside service at Westhampton Memorial Park on Thursday, May 23, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, consider making a donation to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
