Michael Ross Craig, 61 of Glen Allen left us to be with Jesus March 9, 2023. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Kristina; daughter, Scout and son, Elijah (Eli); father, Joseph R. Craig, Sr. and mother, Kay Craig; siblings, Barry (Christie), Joey, Sharon Montgomery (Bill); father-in-law, Jimmy Chapman; mother-in-law, Barbara Chapman; sister-in-law, Vicki Kirtley (Tee); brothers-in-law, James Chapman (Hannah) and Benjamin Chapman (Christy). He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews, Jessica Adcock (Jon), James Craig, Ross Craig, Taylor Craig, Reid Kirtley, Hayden Kirtley, Devlin Montgomery, Lily Montgomery, Tucker Kirtley, Jac Chapman and Mathew Chapman and one great niece, Olivia Adcock: as well as loving aunts, Barbara Burks, Nancy Melton. And many loving cousins. Mike had a smile that would light up a room. He loved to laugh. He always had a funny story to tell at family events. He enjoyed fishing, boating and just being near the ocean. Ocracoke was his favorite family vacation. He adored his family. He sacrificed many things to make sure they were all cared for. A faithful member of Staples Mill Road Baptist Church, he loved and trusted the Lord with all his heart. He was very humble and never boasted. He always sought out the underdog to offer his help. His favorite quote was “Do what is right not what is easiest.” Mike was amazingly handsome but did not like to draw attention to himself. The family will receive friends 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Bliley’s-Staples Mill, 8510 Staples Mill Road. A celebration of life will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 17 at Staples Mill Road Baptist Church,10101 Staples Mill Road.
