Mary Jane (Frumusa) Sanguedolce, 86, formerly of Greece, NY, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2024 in Henrico, VA. She was born on August 29, 1937 in Rochester, NY to Anthony and Tina Frumusa. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Salvatore (“Sam”) Sanguedolce, daughters Tina (Daniel) Murphy, Sylvia (Christopher) Stewart, son Samuel (Mary) Sanguedolce, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Charles (Ruth) Frumusa, cousin Beverly (Anthony) Pulvino, several nieces and nephews.

Mary Jane was a graduate of Ben Franklin High School. After raising a family, she began a career at Rochester Products, General Motors while pursuing an associate’s degree from Monroe Community College. In retirement, she volunteered at Unity Hospital and enjoyed playing piano. Sam and Mary Jane also enjoyed traveling together whether to visit family or on vacation with friends on cruises, Las Vegas, and Italy. She will be remembered for the love she had for her family, as well as the support she gave to so many lifelong friends and neighbors.

A funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 9505 Gayton Road, Henrico, VA on Saturday, July 27th at 10:00 am. Donations in Mary Jane’s memory may be made to Fresh Start for Single Mothers & Their Children, a non-profit community outreach project founded by her daughter Sylvia, and with whom she enthusiastically supported and volunteered.
