Obituary - Mary Elizabeth Askew

Mary Elizabeth Askew, better known as Marybeth. Born on November 1st, 1942, Marybeth has passed away at the age of 80. Wife to James Thomas Askew, mother to her late son, Anthony Bryan Askew (Lori), Jeffrey Scott Askew (Cathy) and Karen Askew-Bell (Michael), grandmother to seven, and great grandmother to five. Marybeth loved the Lord, her family, friends, and children. She worked as an Instructional Assistant for Henrico County Public Schools for over thirty years. She was also a very active member of her Church, Staples Mill Road Baptist Church. Family will receive friends at Bliley's, 8510 Staples Mill Rd., 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday March 22. Services will be held 12:30 p.m. at Staples Mill Road Baptist Church on Thursday March 23. Interment to follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
