Obituary - Mark Edward Switzer

Mark Edward Switzer, 67, of Sandston, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Mark grew up in Covington, Virginia, and was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Louise Switzer.
Mark was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Debbie; sons, Edward (Valerie) and Brendan (Rebekah) Switzer; grandchildren, Elianna, Grayson, and Kruz Switzer; sisters, Judy Friel and Carolyn (Mike) Stevens; brother, Paul Switzer; as well as nephew and several nieces.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 12, noon at Highland Springs United Methodist Church, 22 N. Holly Ave., Highland Springs 23075.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the church or the Massey Cancer Center at VCU.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the doctors and staff of the Massey Cancer Center at VCU and the VCU Hospice team for their living care of Mark.
