Obituary - Margaret Rose Watson

Margaret Rose Watson, 84, of Highland Springs, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 25, 2023.
She was a long-time member of Landmark Baptist Church and worked for over 25 years as a phone customer service operator with the Division of Motor Vehicles. She enjoyed knitting and sewing, especially knitting for all the new babies of the church and family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, William “Shorty” Watson and is survived by her son, Michael Watson; daughter, Valerie Kucera (Bob); grandchildren, Jarron, Josh, Charlie, Chrystal, Amberlyn and Robin; five great-grandchildren; seven siblings; and “adopted” daughter, Theresa Sears (Shawn).
The family will receive friends Monday, January 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 31, at 10 a.m. at Landmark Baptist Church, 4000 Creighton Rd., Richmond, VA 23223.
