Obituary - Margaret Butler Carneal

Margaret Butler Carneal, 94, of Lakeside, went to be with the Lord on May 24, 2024. She is reunited in heaven with her beloved husband of 51 years, Willie Broaddus Carneal; her daughter, Christy Lynn Carneal; and grandson, Brandon James Carneal. Margaret is survived by her two sons, William E. "Bill" Carneal of Richmond, David E. Carneal and his wife, Angela of Mechanicsville; and grandson, Tyler J. Carneal . She was a devout member of Hatcher Memorial Baptist Church for over 63 years, and was truly a role model for her family, whom she adored. Margaret made sure they wanted for nothing, and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. The family will receive friends 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Bliley’s, 8510 Staples Mill Road, where a celebration of Margaret’s life will follow 11:30 a.m., Friday, May 31.
