Margaret Ann Perry Fender, 90, of Henrico gained her wings on January 20, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Fender; sister, Elizabeth “Lib” Jimison and brothers, Earl Perry and Bill Perry. She is survived by her sons, Toney Fender (Jan) and Douglas Fender; granddaughters Sarah Carden (Kenny), Abigail Fender and Rebecca O’Farrell (Austin). Margaret grew up in Milton, West Virginia and was a 1950 graduate of Milton High School. After graduation, she moved to the Washington DC area, where she worked for the federal government for several years. Later, she moved to Richmond, VA where she met Darrell Fender, whom she married in 1957. Together, they had two sons and were married for over 53 years. Margaret worked various secretarial positions over the years, and retired from the Henrico County Tax Department in 1991. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and especially enjoyed spoiling her three granddaughters. She was an exceptional cook, winning several blue ribbons at the VA State Fair. Margaret was also an active member of Glen Allen Free Will Baptist Church.
