Obituary - Luke MacDowell Andrews

Luke MacDowell Andrews, age 10, went into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, January 29, 2022. Despite the many challenges Luke had, he was full of joy, unconditional love, patience, laughter and beauty. His diagnosis left him with very limited abilities but in his short time here on earth he enjoyed being outdoors, bath and cuddle time, and especially family trips. Luke was the heart and center of our family and his wonderful laugh and smile will be what we miss the most. What some may have seen as a burden was a wonderful blessing. Luke was pure in heart, a gift from God and his life brought joy, love, peace, purpose and strength to those around him.

Luke is survived by his parents, Elizabeth and Bradford; his loving big brother, Ryan; his maternal grandparents, Mary Jo and Michael Ruane; his paternal grandmother, Anne Andrews; as well as his uncles, his aunt, cousins and Vickie Pignatore, who lovingly cared for Luke through the years. Luke was preceded in death by his granddad, Willard Andrews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, February 4, 2022 at Hope Church, 12445 Patterson Avenue, Richmond, Virginia.
