Lucille Click Smith, 92, of Henrico, passed away on February 2, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas G. Smith; parents, Ola and Russell Click; sisters, Dorothy Younce, Evelyn Baer; brothers, Stuart Click, Gary Click. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Smith (Glen Allen), Sandy Smith (Deland, FL); grandsons, Taylor Shive (Kimber) of Salisbury, NC, Corbin Shive (Regan) of Concord, NC; great-grandsons, Talan Shive, Luka Shive; brother, Wayne Click (Helen) of Powhatan, VA,; nephew, Dean Binford (Michelle) of Canton, MI. Lucille was lovingly referred to as “Nanny” by her grandchildren. She loved to sew, read, cook and participate in her church and women’s clubs. She danced at both of her grandsons’ weddings and was the life of the party. Many words could describe her but kind, generous, encouraging, quick witted and feisty describe her best. Christmas was her favorite time of the year; decorating, baking, and spending time with family and friends. Lucille was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who had a zest and passion for life. There was very little that could slow her down. Over the years, she was involved in church activities at Boulevard United Methodist Church, Melrose United Methodist Church and Shady Grove United Methodist Church. As a member of multiple church groups, she served in many roles. She was also a member of Brandon Women’s Club. A graveside service will be held at 12 p.m. in Westhampton Memorial Park on Saturday, February 6, 2021. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Lucille’s memory to The American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
