PECSOK, Lorraine Lucinda Beyer, a long-time resident of the Richmond area, died Sept. 22 at Parham Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Lorraine was born in 1928 in Winona County, Minnesota to Arthur and Susanna (Erion) Beyer. After graduating from Lewiston High School, Lorraine received an Associate’s Degree from Rochester Jr. College in 1947. She continued her education at Purdue University. Lorraine worked as a medical secretary at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and the Lafayette Home Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana. After spending time staying home to care for her children, she took a position as a library clerk at Thompson Middle School in Richmond, Virginia, where she worked until her retirement. Lorraine was a loving and proud wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She was a member of the Bon Air Presbyterian Church in Richmond, where she sang for the church choir. Lorraine loved traveling and socializing, playing the piano and enjoyed a good game of bridge with friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Pecsok; her daughter, Janet Pecsok; her sister Bernita Schultz; and her brother, Argene Beyer. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Pecsok; her son, Steven (Noreen) Pecsok; her grandchildren, Blair Hickman, Kelsea (Nick) Eckhoff, James, Kyle, and Emily Pecsok; and several nieces, nephews and many close friends.
