Obituary - Lois E. Humerickhouse

Lois E. Humerickhouse, 90, of Richmond, VA, went to be with the Lord on March 25, 2023. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 60 years, Alyn F. Humerickhouse; parents, Robert and Catherine Veitch; and niece, Tara Veitch. She is survived by her children, Ayn F. Humerickhouse, Jr. (Marilyn), Lynn M. Helscher (Michael), David A. Humerickhouse (Sheryl), Daniel R. Humerickhouse (Amie), and Mark S. Humerickhouse (Charlotte); grandchildren, David Humerickhouse, Jr., Jennifer Hemminger, Michael Helscher (Jessica), Rachael Meska (Geoffrey), Tiffanie Anderson (Eric), Fr. Matthew Humerickhouse, Emily Humerickhouse, Cameron Humerickhouse, Jeffrey Humerickhouse, Marisa Humerickhouse, Nicolas Humerickhouse, Maria Humerickhouse, Ava Humerickhouse; great-grandchildren, Isaac, Cyngen, Drake, Blane, Micah; sister, Louise Moffat; brother, Robert Veitch (Sue); niece, Lisa Shaw (Brian). Originally from Bellwood, PA, Lois moved first to Ohio, where she worked in the dietary department for Aultman Hospital. She then made the move to Virginia, where she worked for both Hechinger’s and eventually Hermitage High School, from which she retired at the age of 73. She was a devout member of Staples Mill Road Baptist Church, and loved the Lord. She was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother, who was always baking new things for her family, and knew what everyone’s favorite food was. Lois was a care giver by nature and was doing all she could to help people. The family will celebrate her life in Ohio at a date to be announced.
