Obituary - Lloyd Frank Newcomb

Lloyd "Frank" Newcomb, 81, of Henrico, VA, passed away on March 28, 2025 surrounded by family and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Catherine and John Miller, his brother Harold and son Frankie Newcomb. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara, and their daughter Theresa (Nick) and grandchild Anthony Parrett, as well as his sisters and brother Donna Overton, Jewel Ritchie, John Miller of Harrisonburg and Donna M from NC.

Frank graduated from Highland Spring High School. He later moved to Harrisonburg where he met his wife, Barbara. They have been married for 57 years and Frank was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Frank worked at Colonial grocery store, then Unjax, from which he retired, and continued to work at Lakeside Market for many years. He then left to work for Nabisco, where he retired from again. Well known in the Lakeside area, Frank often cut the grass in the area for anyone who needed it. He loved his drag racing, NASCAR and football. He will be missed by so many who know him.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 4 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Bliley's Funeral Home on 8510 Staples Mill Road, Richmond, VA. A celebration of Frank's life will follow there at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, April 5, with interment in Signal Hill Memorial Park, 12360 Hanover Courthouse Road, Hanover, VA 23069 at 11:00 am.
