Linda Bare Simpkins, 75, of Richmond, Virginia was called to Heaven on Friday, April 11, 2025. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side.
Linda was a devoted wife, beloved mother, and grandmother who was the ultimate caregiver. She was always taking care of someone other than herself. She volunteered her time at Tuckahoe Little League and West End Assembly of God. She retired from Tuckahoe Orthopedics after more than 30 years of faithful and dedicated service.
In her personal life, she adored spending time with her family and taking her grandchildren to Maymont Park as well as visits to various historical sites in Virginia. Linda was a firm believer in Christ and her faith carried her through her life journey.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Burwell Bare and Peggy Bare; her stepmother, Alma Bare; her husbands, Michael Rogers Kellner and Jerry Allen Simpkins; and stepson Jason Simpkins. She is survived by her sons, Michael Kellner, Jr. and Brian Kellner (Courtney); her stepdaughter, Heather Simpkins; and four grandchildren, Reid, Claire, Caroline, and Thomas.
A celebration of life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Affinity Funeral Service Richmond Chapel, 2720 Enterprise Parkway, Richmond, VA. 23294.
