HAYES, Linda B., 79, of Richmond, Virginia passed away peacefully on November 14, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Halford I. Hayes, Mabel H. Boyd (mother), Robert E. Boyd (father), and Charles R. Boyd (brother). She was a graduate of Hermitage High School, and Virginia Commonwealth University. Linda taught Fifth Grade at Chamberlayne Elementary, managed swimming pools in Richmond with her late husband, was the developer for St. Albans in Henrico, and was a paralegal for the Hayes Law Firm.
She is survived by her brother, Richard Boyd (Kathryn); daughter, Carolyn H. Roberts (Paul) and stepchildren Halford I. Hayes, Jr. (Maureen), Katherine H. King (John), William James (“Jamie”) Hayes (Pamela), and Robert Henderson Hayes; grandchildren, Ashley R. Roberts and Kristen A. Roberts, Joshua W. Hayes, Jeremy J. Hayes, Jonathan E. Hayes, Alexandra P. Hayes, Ian P. King, Ryan P. King, Rachel L. King, William J. Hayes II, Christopher T. Hayes, Skylar E. Hayes, and Robert H. Hayes II; and great grandchildren, Kenadee, Mason, Emerson, Elliott, and River; family friends, Deanna Chau and Craig Wyman.
Visitations where family will receive friends will be held on Monday, November 20th, at Bennett Funeral Home at 14301 Ashbrook Pkwy, Chesterfield from 5-8 pm and 2-3 pm on Tuesday,
November 21st. A funeral service and celebration of life will be held at Bennett Funeral Home
on Tuesday, November 21st at 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be designated for
Bon Air Baptist Church Endowment.
