Neralla, Laxminarayana of Glen Allen, Virginia, passed away peacefully on July 28th, 2022, while surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 20th, 1943 in Vijayanagaram, Andhra Pradesh, India to Ramachandra Murthy and Vardhanamma, the eldest of four children. A brilliant student, he obtained his B. Tech in chemical engineering from Andhra University in 1964, then went on to an M. Tech at the world-renowned Indian Institute of Technology in Bombay in 1966. He married his beloved wife Nirmala in 1970. His son Sridhar was born in 1972 and his daughter Sirisha was born in 1977. In 1978 the family made the journey across the world to start a new life in the United States. Initially living on the East Coast in New Jersey and Maryland, they settled in California in 1982. While there, he held senior project management positions for several large corporations such as Hunt-Wesson, Baxter and Conagra. He also earned his M.B.A. from the University of LaVerne as well as his Professional Engineering license. At the end of his career he relocated to York, Pennsylvania for his final job as a senior engineer for Starbucks. In addition to his illustrious career, he applied his enormous talents to innumerable hobbies. He was a multi-instrumentalist, playing violin, keyboard, tabla and guitar. He sang on stage in countless performances for the Telugu Association of Southern California. He also loved to garden and paint in watercolor as well as digitally. In 2011, he moved to Glen Allen, Virginia to retire near his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nirmala, their son and daughter-in-law Sridhar and Patricia, their daughter and son-in-law Sirisha and Tom, their five grandchildren Lauren, Raymond, Anand, Evan and Leela and his three sisters Lalitha, Syamala and Sundari.
