Lawrence Milton Roberson passed peacefully from this life at his home on September 24, 2024 at age 87. A graduate of Hermitage High School, he was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and spent most of his career as a driver for Mason-Dixon Trucking Company. He enjoyed hunting with his friends, working on cars, and spending time at the river with his wife. He was also a Past Master of Westhampton Masonic Lodge 302. In recent years, he was a devoted caregiver for his wife.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby Lawrence Roberson and Meredith K. Roberson.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Doris Anderson Roberson; a daughter, Sheryl Roberson Elliott; and a son, Lawrence M. Roberson, Jr; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Kay Roberson Horner; and his step-children, Patricia Wheeler, Pamela Orlandi, Charles Roberson, Darrell Roberson, Carol Blanchard and their families.
