Larry “Cookie” Rosser, 78, of Highland Springs, Virginia passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loved ones.

Larry was a proud veteran who spent time on The Destroyer USS Rich from 1962- 1965 serving for the United States Navy. Afterwards, he worked for many years as a bricklayer and was also a member of the Bricklayers Union.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Rhoda Rosser, his wife, Janet B. Rosser; brother Wesley Rosser; his daughter, Rhonda Thomas; and niece Rhoda Hammond.

Left to cherish his memory is his sister, Bonnie Frith, and her husband John, and their family; his daughter and caregiver, Julie Howard, and her partner, Michael Farmer; his beloved granddaughters, Jessica Redford, and Danielle Thomas; grandsons Justin Tyler and Conor Thomas, Joshua Redford, Matthew, and Brandon Howard; daughter Kelly Mulligan and her children, Aiden and Seydi; great-grandsons Caleb Moore and Wyatt Redford; his daughter, Babara Jones, and husband Herbert Jones; granddaughter Lynn Ann Adkins and Mike Hall; and two more great-grandchildren Addison and Trevor Hall; daughters Tina Childress, Brandy Alfonso, and son Philip Rosser and their families; as well as many great and loyal friends at Last Stop and Bubbas.

Larry was a devoted husband. and loving father and grandfather. He was a true all-American man with a great sense of humor and he was loved by his country. He was a straightforward and no-nonsense man.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
