Maxwell, Karen Sue, 74, of Sandston, It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Karen on May 19, 2022. Karen was a loving and devoted mother and friend to all. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert E. and Teresa McCormick; as well as her two brothers, Robert McCormick and Richard McCormick. She is survived by her children, Kathryn Maxwell, David Austin, Crystal Austin, Scott Austin, Kristie Gail Daily (husband Jesse); beloved sister, Kathy Hughes (husband Robert); nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild to be, arriving in June; many loved nieces; one favorite nephew; and her Uncle, Jeff “Peanut” Cottrill. Her remains rest at the Bennett Funeral Home, Mechanicsville Chapel. The family and friends will celebrate her life at 11:00am on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Washington Memorial Park in Sandston.
