Judith Karen Woodson passed away peacefully on May 24th at age 76.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Woodson DuMont (Matthew), her son Benjamin Frederick Woodson (Christina), and her grandchildren, Samuel, Luke, Claire DuMont, and Bryce and Alexander Woodson. Her delight in her children and grandchildren was unbounding.

She was predeceased by her parents Frederick and Mildred Thiele. A native of Chicago, she was a graduate of St. Ignatius of Loyola High School and was awarded a BA degree by the University of Loyola.

Following her services as a teacher with the US Army in Germany, for many years she continued her teaching at the Steward School.

Judy was a member of the Tuckahoe Woman’s Club and the Junior League of Richmond. She loved working at The Clothes Rack where her enthusiasm made an impact on the community.

An active member of All Saints Episcopal Church, she was a long time participant in the church choir and music program.

Judy was well known for her extensive knowledge and love of history, education, music, and especially all things British.

A funeral service will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church at 12:00 pm on June 1 with a reception following at the church.
