John W. Grubbs, Jr. of Henrico, VA, went to be with his Lord, Jesus Christ, on March 12, 2022. He was a devout Christian and a loving husband, father, and Papa. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Virginia Grubbs Jenkins and John W. Grubbs, Sr. and a half-brother, Tommy Grubbs. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Gaynell Musser Grubbs; his three daughters, Sandra Martin, Deborah Fielders (Roland), Amy-Elizabeth Babin (Jason); six grandchildren, Adam Martin (Val), Shawn Martin (Jess), Christian Babin, Heather Glatt (Mat), Noah Babin, Logan Fielders; one brother, Clarence Grubbs (Arlene); two half-brothers, Mark and Brian Grubbs. John took joy each week volunteering at St. Mary’s Hospital. The family will receive friends at Bliley’s Staples Mill Chapel, 8510 Staples Mill Road on Thursday, March 17, 2022 from 6 to 8 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022 at 12 PM. Interment with a Graveside Service will be held at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
