Obituary - John Herbert Stokler Jr.

John H. Stokler, Jr., 85 of Sandston, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Bon Secour Memorial Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of Annemarie (Türke) Stokler.
John lived most of his life in South Attleboro, MA, relocating to Sandston at the age of 78. He loved his home in South Attleboro, napping in the garage and walking to the local ticket store to buy lottery tickets, drink coffee, and reminiscing with his friends. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany, where he found the love of his life, Annemarie. John worked for Brown and Sharpe for several years. John owned his own service station in Pawtucket, Rhode Island for many years, before working for Microfibres until his retirement in 2005. In his free time, John enjoyed digging for quahogs, playing the lottery, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Annemarie, John is survived by children, Carmen Hernandez-Stokler of Jacksonville, Florida, Brenda Keane and her husband, John of Sandston, VA, Kim Stokler and her fiancé, Shawn Letourneau of Melbourne, FL; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, Erich Keane and his wife, Natalia of Gaston, OR and their two children, Walter and Naomi, Joseph Hernandez of Tampa, Florida, Christopher Keane of Sandston, VA, Larry Soulier, III of North Attleboro, MA, Aaron Hernandez of Orlando, Florida and Alec Hernandez of Jacksonville, Florida; and a sister, Barbara (Stokler) Ryan of Orange, MA. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Stokler, Sr. and his wife, Elsie (Ganci) Stokler; his brother, Stanley Stokler; his sisters, Susan (Stokler) Rezendes, Linda (Sousa) Suffoletto, and Janet (Sousa) Fians; and his son, John H Stokler, III.
A private memorial service will be held at New Bridge Baptist Church.
