John "Eddie" Edward Hendricks Jr., age 90, of Sandston, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023.
He was preceded in death by his youngest son, Stephen Lee Hendricks.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 58 years, Patsy C. Hendricks; son, William E. Hendricks (Becky); daughter, Debbie "Sissie" Owens (Steve); grandsons, Stephen, James, and Joel.
Eddie was born on December 10, 1932 in Fork Union, VA. He grew up in South Boston, VA and moved to Highland Springs in the early 1950's before joining the Navy. He loved Jesus and was a faithful member of New Bridge Baptist Church for over 60 years.
A celebration service will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, August 6, 2023 at New Bridge Baptist Church, 5701 Elko Rd., Sandston, VA 23150. He will be laid to rest at Central Church Cemetery in Cumberland, VA at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in honor of Eddie to New Bridge Baptist Church.
