Obituary - JoAnn Shultz Augsburger

JoAnn Shultz Augsburger, age 89, of Glen Allen, Virginia passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021. Joann was born October 14, 1932 and originally hails from Williamsport, PA.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Maurice R. and Esther C. Shultz; son, Michael W. Augsburger of Beaverdam, VA; and brothers, Robert R. Shultz and James R. Shultz of Media, PA. and Mechanicsburg, PA.

She is survived by her husband, Gene W. Augsburger of Glen Allen, VA; son, Bryan E. Augsburger (Patti) of Sandston, VA; and Grandchildren, Christopher, Kristina, and Courtney.

JoAnn was a faithful parishioner of the Lutheran churches she attended over the course of her life. Her two most frequented congregations were Trinity Lutheran Church and St. Paul Lutheran Church.

JoAnn was a highly skilled secretary and office coordinator for most of her life. She worked for many prestigious businesses such as McGuire Woods Legal of Richmond, VA and Leon Spinney Law Offices of Brunswick, ME. She also worked in the education field for the Henrico county school system. Her hobbies included anything artistic but her favorite creative venture was embroidery. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed making and decorating clothing. She also enjoyed fine arts, crafting, and any activity that she could add her personal touch to.
