Obituary - Janet Fair Lyle

Janet Fair Lyle, age 79, died May 26, 2023. She is survived by two sons, Douglas Edward Lyle and Charles William Lyle, both of Richmond. She was predeceased by her husband Charles K. Lyle, Jr. Mrs. Lyle graduated from the University of Michigan and was involved in the UM Club of Richmond. Mrs. Lyle taught school in the City of Richmond, Henrico County, and Goochland County. She was an alumni member of Gamma Sigma chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, an International Society of Educators. She enjoyed traveling and visited all seven continents. After retiring she took up tennis and played at Briarwood ACAC. She thanks all her tennis friends for a second life. The family will receive friends at Woody Funeral Home Parham from 1:00 to 4:00 June 10.
