Obituary - Jane Marshall Haney

Jane Marshall Haney, 88, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023. She was born in Ruckersville, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Harol P. Haney, her parents, Howard and Bertha Marshall, her sisters, Joyce Taylor and Eleanor Pace, and brothers, Tavner and David Marshall, and her son-in-law George Moore III. Jane and Harol had 3 daughters, Janet H. Moore, Allison P. Schneider (Dewitt), and Ellen H. Brooks (Keith), 7 grandchildren George Moore IV, Christy Moore, Tylar Schneider Harrod (Seth), Grant Schneider (Andrea), Luke Schneider, Savannah Brooks and Ashlynn Brooks, and 2 great granddaughters, Wesley Harrod and Kendall Schneider that were new additions to her family this year.

Jane was a stay at home mother for most of her life but was employed with Henrico County Public Schools in their food service department. Then she later retired from Signet Bank where she had worked for over 15 years in their credit card department.

She was a long time member of Derbyshire Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years and participated in the Golden Tones - Sr Adult Choir. She was very active in volunteering at the church.

She was loved by many, as she never met a stranger. She will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 26th at Woody Funeral Home, Parham Chapel from 1-4pm. A church service will be held on Monday, November 27th at Derbyshire Baptist Church, 8800 Derbyshire Rd, Richmond, VA 23229 at 11:30am with a graveside service at Greenwood Memorial Gardens at 2pm.
