Obituary - James Caldwell Traynham

James Caldwell Traynham passed away November 13th, 2024. He is preceded in passing by his parents, Alfred and Juanita Traynham; his children Angela, Jimmy Jr., and Travis Traynham; and his daughter in law, Latasha Traynham. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Traynham; his daughter, Samantha Traynham (September); and his granddaughter, Ameerah Traynham.

James had a long career in several different industries, but retired from law enforcement where he was the first black deputy sheriff in Henrico. He had several hobbies which included playing pool and cards, and playing with his beloved dogs. James enjoyed relaxing in his car listening to music and expressed his passion for it on the guitar. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A visitation will be held at Bliley’s Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd, on Saturday, November 23rd from 10:00AM to 4:00PM.
