Obituary - Jacqueline Lee Galloway Schacht

Schacht, Jacqueline Lee Galloway passed away peacefully to her eternal home on Monday, November 28, 2022. She was married to her husband, “Dick”, for 49 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Edward “Doc” and Elsie Galloway; husband, Richard J. Schacht; and brother, Ed Galloway. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Ann Justis; son, Jay Schacht; daughter, Cathy Carter (J.C.); grandchildren, Thomas Justis (Misty), Rebekah Justis, Tyler, Austin and Adam Carter; and three great-grandchildren. She was a native of Richmond and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. She worked for C&P Telephone Company and retired from Travelers Medicare Division. Jackie was an active member of Welborne UMC for over 60 years, volunteered for Richmond Animal League for 20 years and sang in the Jubilation Choir. Family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Saturday December 3, 2022 at Welborne UMC followed by Celebration of Life Service at 11 a.m. and interment after the service in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
