Herbert H. Eades, Jr., 83, of Richmond, Virginia, passed away on September 3, 2024, after a battle with heart and lung disease.

Herb was born on April 14, 1941, to Herbert Senior and Christine Crews Eades in Richmond. After graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1959, he married the love of his life, Linda Hepburn Eades in 1962.

Herb attended The University of Richmond (University College) and Graduated June 8, 1970. While going to college he started his career during the day working his way up from Mail-Boy in 1959 at DuPont in a progressively advancing career in Accounting.

After retiring in 2001, Herb spent his time entertaining his grandchildren, being active in his Masonic Lodge (61 years) serving as Master for two years, The Scottish Rite Bodies in The Honor Guard, a Deacon and Treasurer at Westhampton Baptist Church, and a member of Derbyshire Baptist Church.

Herb was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Seldon, and a beloved sister-in-law, Judy Warren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Diane Eades Schnupp, her husband, Scott and children, Connor and Regan; his son, Herbert (Bert) H. Eades, III, his wife, Karen and children, Madison, Cabell, Davis and Abby; his brother, Robert Crews Eades; his devoted nephew, David Warren and his wife Diane; and niece, Julee Fletcher and her husband, Steve.

The family will receive friends Friday, September 6, 2024 from 6pm-8pm at The West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home. A funeral will be held 11am, Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Derbyshire Baptist Church followed by a reception. The burial will take place 2pm, Monday, September 9, 2024 at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
