Our Aunt Chuckle (Hallie) gained her angel wings and danced her way into God’s arms on April 5, 2023 after 104 years of a full and independent life. She was born on July 13, 1918 and lived her entire life in the Richmond area, mostly in Highland Springs.

Chuckle graduated from Highland Springs High School. She met her life’s love, Walter Mrozek, during WWII and they enjoyed a wonderful life of gardening, travel, dining and shopping. Chuckle retired from Lucky Strike at age 55. She lost Walt in 2004, but went on to live many healthy and productive years.

In addition to her husband, Chuckle lost her beloved siblings, Robert “Buster” Dickinson in 2008, and Florence “Flossie” Dickinson Lyon in 1996; as well as her nephew, Robert “Bobby” Dickinson (Delores).

Her nieces and nephews, William W. Lyon, Sharon Lyon Maiden (Frank), Hallie Dickinson McClure (Jimmy), Jean Dickinson Watts (Jimmy) and George Lyon Jr. (Debora) mourn her passing; as well as 10 grandnieces and nephews and 16 great-grandnieces and nephews.

Hallie is currently residing at Nelsen Funeral Home – Laburnum Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 12 noon to 2 p.m. on Monday, April 10, 2023 with a funeral service immediately following. Hallie will then join her beloved husband at Washington Memorial Park.
