Obituary - Gladys S. Eubank

Eubank, Gladys S., died April 16, 2023. She was born in Richmond, VA on June 9, 1934. She was predeceased by her father, Thomas C. Sweet, mother, Fannie I. Sweet, husband of 65 years, Emmett “Flip” Eubank, sister, Joyce S. Harris, and brother, Richard “Pat” Sweet. She is survived by two sons, Thomas F. Eubank (wife Debra) and David C. Eubank; four grandchildren, Thomas F. Eubank Jr., Nicholas C. Eubank, Travers C. Eubank, and Ann Gardner Eubank; five great-grandchildren, Thomas Eubank III, Ali Eubank, Mia Eubank, Walker Eubank, and Saylor Eubank; and by her dear friend, Gerrie Cairns. Gladys was a swimming instructor for many years at the Jewish Community Center where she taught hundreds of children and adults to swim. She was also a member of the St. Mary’s Hospital Auxiliary for over 35 years. The family wishes to thank the staff of Sunrise Villa Tuckahoe and Serenity first Hospice for their love and care for her. A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, April 24th at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, P.O.
