Obituary - Ethel Catherine Steinbrecher Dent

Ethel Catherine "Sis" Steinbrecher Dent, 90, homemaker, born July 3, 1930, of Henrico, Va., passed peacefully at home January 23, 2021, due to congestive heart failure. She was the daughter of the late John M. Steinbrecher Sr. and Ethel Goldsby Steinbrecher. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of almost 59 years, Ralph Thomas Dent Sr., who passed away April 10, 2007; brothers, Corp. John M. Jr. USMC, Fulmer, Tony, Leo and Robert (Bobby/Steiny) Steinbrecher. Ethel is survived by two children, Sharon D. Floyd (Howard) of Richmond, Va. and Ralph T. Dent Jr. of Williamsburg, Va.; grandson, Shawn L. Floyd (Jennifer) of Glen Allen, Va.; granddaughter, Lisa M. Ricks (Matthew) of Rocky Mount, Va.; great-grandchildren, AnneMarie and Duncan Thomas Floyd, Macey Catherine and Cadyn Elisabeth Ricks; two sisters, Nora Wilkinson and Joan Marie Craze (Edward); sisters-in-law, Doris S. Steinbrecher, Jean W. Steinbrecher and Gwen B. Steinbrecher; and many loving nieces and nephews. Ethel was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church since October of 1951. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, January 28, 2021, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 8200 Woodman Road, Henrico, Va. 23228, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., with interment following in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
