Obituary - Emily Mae Brown Raduns

Emily Mae Brown Raduns, 95, of Sandston, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, May 3, 2024. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Gerald Franklin Raduns; grandson; Christopher Kenneth Mayton; her parents, William Thomas and Mattie Milby Brown; sisters Lillian Cosgrove and Ethel Wimpling; and brothers, Herbert, Herman, and Warren Brown. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Raduns Mayton Vollmer (Carl); granddaughters, Angela Jenks (Larry) and Michelle Mayton; great grandchildren, Gavin Jenks, Alyssa and Olivia Mayton; sister, Annie Lancaster; sister-in-law, Gloria Raduns Rastelli; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She retired from Bell Atlantic (Verizon) with 33 years of service and was a longtime member of Harvest Baptist Church, Sandston. Special thanks to the most loving caregiver, Barbara Shifflett.

The family will receive friends 12 to 2pm, on Monday, May 13, 2024, with services beginning 2pm, at the Mechanicsville Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd. Pastor Alan Cousins officiating. Interment immediately following at Washington Memorial Park, Sandston. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Harvest Baptist Church Building Fund, 5561 Meadow Road, Sandston, VA 23150.
